The English league T20 Blast was created in 2003 and is the oldest of the T20 Leagues. Also known as Vitality T20 Blast due to a recent sponsorship agreement reached by the league, is an English league with 18 teams and two divisions, making it the biggest league at the moment. England has a long history with cricket and has been playing this sport for a rather considerable amount of time, and the Vitality Blast is naught but another step in the evolution of the sport in England and the old world.

Due to the size of this league and the fact that there are 2 divisions only the 4 top teams of each division reach the knock-out stage (Quarter, Semi and Final).

The north division teams are Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Nottinghamshire Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, and Yorkshire Vikings. In the south division, we have Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Royals, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex Sharks.

Its home ground is the County Ground Cricket in Hoves and has a capacity to host up to 6000 people.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club was founded in 1841 and so far has competed in every major local tournament in England. The had a small falling out of first division but was admitted back in 2010 and so far has been climbing and stacking victories.

Worcestershire Rapids was founded in 1865 and its initial performance was quite good and up to the standards of the rest of the counties but experienced a period of time in which the overall level of the team dropped significantly. However, the team managed to rectify this and has enjoyed relative success in recent times winning the county championship in 1974, 1988, and 1989, although the team dropped to the second division for a brief time and was promoted back to the first division in 2010. The team's home ground is New Road, this venue can hold up to 4500 fans which is a bit on the small end for a first division stadium but that doesn't make it any less worthy of its first division status.

England is not exempt from facing the global pandemic of COVID-19 and as such the ECB - or England and Wales Cricket Board - has decided that certain measures and been placed to guarantee the safety of fans and athletes alike. Of course, this will cause delays and force to reschedule tournaments and matches, but you can always enjoy the vitality blast 2020 at a later date while being healthy and safe.

While we are still on the topic of COVID-19, this year a special cup is taking place, the Bob Willis trophy. This shorter tournament is separate from the county cricket cup and was prepared to honor Bob Willis who died in 2019, for this tournament the league was divided in 3 instead of 2 and had the north group, central group, and south group each consisting of 6 teams. The final match should take place in late September.

Picture this: a finals day on St Lawrence stadium in Canterbury or at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff full of English fans hungry for a high skill match, with Max Holden, Keaton Jennings, or Joe Root giving their all to win the T20 Blast 2020.
